Opportunity of The Week - Charity Shop Volunteer

Charity Shop Volunteer with Friends of Cathja

Organisation Description
Friends of Cathja is a registered charity that provides a unique creative service to people suffering from enduring mental health problems.

Role Description
New Charity shop and community hub just opening in Brentford! Cathja's Kitchen Table is a unique space raising money for Cathja and we will be developing a variety of community activities for everyone to join in with.

They are really looking for people who have experienced mental health issues, as well as those with loved ones with mental health issues to support and get involved.  But everyone is welcome to offer their services.

They are also looking for skills like driving, to collect and deliver donations locally, upcyclers, people who may have worked in retail such as window dressers but also you might be a great plumber, painter and decorator and can just give them a hand to get the premises a bit shop-shape - they are really open to everyone.

They will try and support you on whatever you are trying to achieve on a person by person basis, for example maybe you just like volunteering for an hour or two but maybe you would like to train in retail but don't know how to go about it, they will do what they can to respond to each volunteers needs.

Benefits to the Volunteer :
It will make you feel great.

What you can get in return can range from learning skills to improving your confidence, meeting new friends and loads more.
