Volunteering Hounslow Receives Volunteer Centre Quality Accreditation
Volunteering Hounslow is proud to announce that they have officially been awarded the Volunteer Centre Quality Accreditation (VCQA). The quality mark assures the public and others in the Third-Sector that the organisation is providing a high quality and effective volunteering service according to the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO), the governing and regulatory body for all volunteering services in England.
There are five core functions of a volunteering centre that the VCQA standards cover:
- Strategic Development of Volunteering
- Good Practice Development
- Developing Volunteering Opportunities
- Voice of Volunteering
Cllr Sue Sampson, Cabinet Member for Communities, said: “It is great to see that such a high standard of Volunteer Brokerage Service has been reached in our borough. We hope that Volunteering Hounslow continues to inspire and support more people into volunteering.”
