Did you know that it is National Tree Week from 24th November till 2nd December? The date marks the beginning of the tree planting season and is a time to think about how we can care for our City's wild side! To celebrate we have some nature related or outdoor volunteering opportunities for you.

An Employee Action Day is a bespoke team-building project, planned and delivered for you at your choice of location. Employer Supported Volunteering enables your team to carry out hands-on conservation and environmental work, to improve green spaces for biodiversity and benefit your community.

Volunteer with TCV Biodiversity Action Team West - The Conservation Volunteers

Join The Conservation Volunteer’s Biodiversity Action Team West, covering Richmond, Hounslow and much more for practical conservation days every Wednesday and Thursday, 10.30 - 4pm. Tasks include hedge laying, river work, heathland and woodland management.

Volunteer Gardeners - Hounslow West Mencap

Hounslow West Mencap run a day leisure unit for adults with learning disabilities open weekdays from 9am-3pm. They are looking for enthusiastic and reliable volunteers who can work and relate well with adults with learning disabilities. They are particularly interested in those with gardening skills. Mentoring from an experienced member of staff and ongoing training are available.

Stone Age and Dig for Victory Garden Volunteers - Gunnersbury Park and Museum

Volunteers will learn about growing and farming in the Stone Age and in WWII home gardens, supported by our highly skilled Head Gardener. This role is very hands on and may require light manual labour and involves spending time in all weather and temperatures as you will be based outside.
